Content Industry Development fund is a new incentive which has been introduced in the Ninth Malaysia Plan (2006 � 2010). The main aims of this incentive are to spur the development of quality local ICT content for domestic and export market and also to develop a more resilient and competitive local content industry in Malaysia. This funding, namely known as eContent Fund, is for the content creation projects based on innovativeness, social and commercial viability.

This programme addresses the funding gap at pre-seed stage and is expected to boost the development of commercially viable ICT projects and kick off a chain reaction in the creation of new local K-SMEs in ICT.

TAF 1 provides funding to eligible Malaysian companies to acquire foreign technology for immediate incorporation into company?s manufacturing activity. The acquisition of technology could be in the form of acquiring know-how / patent / design via the following methods:-

v   Licensing of technology
v   Purchase of technology; and
v   Outright purchase of technology

TAF 2 provides funding to eligible women entrepreneurs to acquire equipment and machinery for immediate incorporation into company?s manufacturing activity. The acquisition of the equipment and machinery must be for the improvement of the current production capacity or process.
